Paper Me Usable
The purpose of the prototype testing was to evaluate the role and look and feel of the application by exploring different visual solutions for the interface elements. The methodologies used were: think aloud protocols, semi-structured interviews, and expert appraisals. The main results were that the color palette was not sufficiently clear as a stand alone and did not work in cases of color blind users, the use of text as an indicator required more time and thought than the graphic element, the call to actions in the alerts and application screens were not clear, and icons used in the application were not coherent. The recommendations are to have more quantitative tests evaluating the role and the look and feel of the application using field observations as well as questioners and property checklists and to begin testing the implementation aspects of the application.
